Guardrail barriers provide semi-rigid protection to shield motorists from hazards located close to the edge of the road. A typical guardrail system consists of a steel W-Beam rail on steel posts with various designs of end treatments and transitions made from the same material. The W-Beam type safety barrier consists of a steel post and a 3mm thick ‘W’ Beam rail element. The steel post and the spacer are  75mm x 150mm and 5mm thick segments. The rail is situated 70 cm above ground level and posts are spaced 2m center-to-center. The Madoors box beam crash barriers are 3500mm overall length with an effective length of 3200mm. Joints are secured using 8 No. M16 x 35mm Lap Bolt sets. Barrier to post fixing is with 1 No. M16 x 50 Post Bolt set. Untensioned safety barrier systems are not suitable for use in highway applications. Our "off road" crash barriers give your valuable stock and buildings the best protection from moving vehicles and forklifts damages. All barriers should be assembled with the overlap in the direction of traffic flow to prevent vehicles hitting exposed ends in the event of collision. All crash beams have mid span slots to enable additional posts to be installed to maximise strength.
